Internship Description
This internship offers project-based learning in digital hardware and FPGA system design, focusing on implementing and verifying digital logic using industry-standard FPGA toolchains. Participants will work on guided FPGA design exercises, from RTL development to hardware validation.

Activities & Exposure
• Develop RTL modules and testbenches using Verilog or VHDL
• Perform simulation, synthesis, and timing analysis
• Explore timing closure and basic hardware debugging techniques
• Integrate memory controllers or communication interfaces
• Demonstrate FPGA prototypes in review sessions

Outcomes
• Practical understanding of FPGA development workflows
• Experience with digital verification and hardware bring-up
• Exposure to real-world digital design constraints

Requirements

Preferred Background

  • Electrical or Computer Engineering major

  • Coursework in digital logic and computer architecture

  • Familiarity with Verilog or VHDL and simulation tools (e.g., ModelSim)

  • Interest in FPGA or digital hardware design
