Internship Description
The Industrial Design Intern will support product design for smart hardware, consumer electronics, wearable devices, medical/health products, or IoT products. The intern will work on research, sketches, 3D modeling, rendering, and final design presentation under mentor guidance.
Responsibilities
Conduct user research and competitor analysis
Create product concepts, sketches, and user scenarios
Build 3D models and renderings using tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, Blender, or KeyShot
Support CMF design, including color, material, and finish exploration
Collaborate with hardware, software, and business teams to improve product feasibility and user experience
Prepare portfolio-ready design visuals and final project presentations
Requirements
Preferred Background
Background in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, HCI, or a related field
Familiar with at least one 3D modeling or rendering tool
Basic understanding of product design, user experience, and prototyping
Interest in smart hardware, consumer electronics, medical devices, wearables, or IoT products
Portfolio preferred but not required
